Olokun is an African god associated with water. Olokun is part of a series of three with Edén and Coaybay. Each of the paintings represents the three elements of Puerto Rican culture: Olokun the African, Edén the Spanish (Roman Catholic), and Coaybay the Taino (Arawak).

Olokun was used in the film set of "Gimme Shelter" in 2011, directed by Ron Krauss.
